Sheer Joy in Painting

Greetings again and Happy (belated) Valentine’s Day!

Thanks for staying “tuned.”  I’ve been extremely busy with art; however, this means I have much more material to post!

This first piece was created to express the purity of joy and ease of relief.  It represents the ascension of a man’s spirit upon death (for this is why he is pale), lifted high on angel wings.  Although I do not perceive that we become angels when we die, I venture to say that is might feel such as that we can soar on our overwhelming exuberance and peace.  This painting is predominantly watercolor with pencil to accentuate detail and splatters to capture the flurry of emotions.  It was created for a dear friend of mine that loves angels.

Anyways, thanks for checking in and have a most wonderful Tuesday!
